Founded in 2016, NHDC is a nonprofit with a mission to present and develop dance as an accessible and utilized art form to deepen our understanding of each other and our shared world.

NHDC Philosophy

Technology, the internet, loss of interplay in nature and a myriad of other forces have combined to decrease our kinesthetic and emotional intelligence. The concept of “empathy deficit” is being addressed in a cross section of disciplines. We propose that incorporating more dance into our human experience would be a powerful tool in further developing human understanding and tolerance for each-other.
