NH Dance Accelerator
NHDC has taken the idea of business accelerators, well-known in the tech world, and adapted it to fit the unique needs of dance companies and solo artists. Acceleration is necessary to dance, because dance companies and solo artists often struggle with their business model despite already possessing viable products.
With this in mind, NH Dance Accelerator rapidly accelerates the growth and sustainability of New Hampshire-based dance companies and solo artists through financial support, coaching, and mentorship.
We chose to use the term, Fellow, at the risk of sounding self-important, because candidates are selected due to their respective accomplishments, focus, and singular vision, which makes them ready for a rigorous process of training. Senior Fellows are candidates whose artistic achievements are evolved and professional but require strategic and practical support to help them (and their organizations) reach the next level.

Founded in 2008, theatre KAPOW puts stories on stage to create a safe space for conversations that can begin to heal communities, families, and hearts. Based in Manchester, NH, theatre KAPOW explores “the truths of human experience through the passion and electricity of live theater.
“This collaboration with NHDC provides us with the opportunity to assess what we have been doing and how,” remarked Matt Cahoon, Artistic Director and co-founder of theatre KAPOW. “Through this partnership, we hope to strengthen our ability to collaborate with like-minded creators and our administrative capacity.”
